A Fall Block Party at the Halls’

A Fujifilm gallery

Every fall, some friends from my childhood neighborhood throw a big block party and invite all the neighbors. Though I haven’t lived there in over 5 years, I’m still invited every year and I always feel so welcome.

Good food, hugs, neighbors I haven’t seen in a year or three, cookies, swings, tetherball, accordion Pete (an icon), tall trees, bats flying overhead. The dream.

I love photographing events like this because it frees up the host (commonly and in this case, a mom) to be super present and enjoy the company!
